History Of The Blog:
This blog was started in May 2007 as a way to extend the research at my
PhD thesis. I use it as my scratch pad, the place where I'm developing,
hopefully with your help, the ideas that surround and support the book.
Most ot the time I will write on topics related to my ongoing research
for my PhD thesis ranging from product design and pricing to new business
models or changing consumer behavior.
The Thesis entitled "Impact of the digitalisation on the business
models of the media entertainment industry - a theoretic and empiric analysis
of the developement in the area of pricing and product policy" (working
titel) will be published in 2010 at the the Vienna
University of Economics and Business Administration (WU Wien). The
goal was to provide more timely, personal insights into the impact of
the digitalisation on entertainment industry or media and to engage blog
readers in a conversation.
The name digitalwaveriding is a reference to the digital wave of innovation
that is rolling over the media and entertainment industry at the moment
and in the last years. I'm going to document what I see, will try to identify
some new developments and strategies and try to understand what’s
happening.
I welcome your thoughts, ideas, suggestions, and of course, criticisms.
Feel free to reach out to me (contact).

In July 2005 I was having a break of the studies to take a Job at MTV
